Thank you for visiting my blog.
My name is Anand N Muruganandam, known as Rajakili to some and Anand to others. I live in New Jersey. I was born in the land of Thiruvalluvar, who said “all who live are alike at birth”. I lived there for 28 years. I moved to the land of Jefferson, who wrote “all men are created equal,” and settled there for the past 40 years. I am a chemical engineer by profession. I received my engineering education at CIT(Coimbatore) and research training at IIT(Madras), Regional Research Laboratory(Hyderabad), UC(Berkeley) and UT(Austin). I was an instructor of chemical engineering for two years at Tuskegee Institute, Alabama. I worked as a research engineer for nearly 30 years in the New Jersey location of a leading chemical company and retired in 2015. During retirement, I hope to devote more time to my hobbies. I have interests in travel, nature, literature, and world affairs.
My family includes my daughter, son, daughter-in-law, and a newborn granddaughter. This blog is presented in fond memory of my wife, Saradambal, on the eighth anniversary of her passing away. She left us on February 10, 2010, but is always in our memory.
Thanks to my family-friend Gopal Rao Thukaram for the design of this website.
The blog has no profit motives. It is meant for sharing the joy of my travel and intellectual pursuits with my friends and like minded people. Occasionally I use information or photos from internet to explain the story line. I try my best to reference the sources. If it is objectionable to the original author or publisher, let me know. I will remove it. If any photo or material does not seem right to anyone, please bring it to my attention. I will correct it.
